It depends. Most of the time the lyrics are important. Like if you take lyrics out of rap it wouldn't make sense at all. But if the sounds were good enough then it wouldn't matter at all if it had lyrics. I prefer songs with lyrics though.

I listened to it, and honestly I thought it was a little haunting. Sad too, in a quiet kind of way. No idea what that chick was saying but I liked it.

Not sure if it'll mean anything to you but RA was telling the true story of his father, who was infected with agent orange in Vietnam. His brother and sister were both born severely handicapped, the former only living to the age of 10 and the latter not being able to walk or speak.

The melody and the voice are what matter the most to me.

Lyrics are very important. There are so many songs out there that are good, but the lyrics make no sense. In my opinion a really good song can be related to and you can connect to what the artist was thinking via the lyrics.
