Are there games that could gather your data?

Are there games out there that you feel could be gathering your data? With so many apps gathering data, I was wondering if any types of games, maybe online ones, do so too? What kind of data would be something you'd not want them to get from you?

I feel many mobile games and online multiplayer games gather data on its players unless you can play as a guest without setting up an account with your e-mail.
