Are there still any antivirus programs which noticeably slow down modern computer?

I haven't used any antivirus programs in recent years which slow down a modern computer where it is very noticeable and slow down Windows and other programs like web browsers and media players when the Antivirus is running.

I think as long as you run a SSD storage, then nothing will really slow it down granted that you have a decent processor. Though I notice on HDDs, norton can slow things down.

I remember in the past a lot of users complained of Norton slowing down their computer. But, almost all computers have hard drives back then, so virus scans can take many hours to do a full scan.

another reason why most should get ssd.

I have only ever used Kaspersky and it never slowed down my computer.
I am not so sure about other antivirus programs
