Are you a fan of Halo? Any Halo or all Halos. Anything Halo related. I would asy I'm a pretty big Halo fan. I've played and beaten solo campaigns multiple times for Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo Wars. I actually used to own a few Halo books, and I still own a few figurines.
Add to all this that Halo 3 is my favorite game of all time. I put more hours into that game than anything else in my life, it's where I made most of my original online friends that I hung out with for years afterwards.
Not really, I mean, I have played it like twice, but I'm incredibly bad at it, lol, and I end up all frustrated... I think that I should maybe give it a try just playing on my own to get some ability in the game, let's see if after practicing a little bit I change my mind, I have heard so many positive things about it and I really want to try it, let's see how it works.
I'm a definite Halo fan! I had every Halo from Halo: Combat Evolved to Halo 4. A few games I wasn't impressed with (Halo 4, Halo Wars), but the other games were amazing! My favorite Halo game would have to be Halo 3. I remember staying up until 3-4 AM playing the campaign on Legendary with friends and heading over to Big Team Slayer afterwards. I always had a great attraction to that game!
I'm a fan, ever since playing the first Halo a few years after release. Halo 3 was my first game for the 360 and I went to Reach's midnight release. Reach is my most played game (I played the the 3rd's story more), even though it's multiplayer was a bit of a departure from 3's I loved it. Now Halo's current state is kind of a bummer, what 343 has done is an abomination to the Halo name.
The first change they ever made after becoming stewards was to implement the TU "beta" which never ended, that made big team battle almost unplayable. They closed the dlc playlists and never made the dlc free so it's been impossible to play any dlc maps since the first few months after they launched. So as a big Reach fan they didn't make any positive changes to the game and had no regard for what Bungie was doing and the community that was embracing the game, and I don't think I have to cite any specifics as to what wrong decisions they have made with 4 and 5.
I feel that I am a halo fan. I played Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3 a lot back on Xbox/Xbox 360. Never played any of the games after Halo 3 though. Only series I wish, that isn't already there, that was available for PS4.
I used to be a Halo fan up until Halo 4. I tried my best to enjoy it, I really did, but the look, feeling, and story was so contrived that all of the nuances of the old Halo games (Hell, even Reach took the risk of a more industrial aesthetic and still managed to pull off the feel) were completely gone. I didn't know why I was running around shooting the Promethean and I didn't care, nor did I understand what the Didact wanted to do. It just seemed so strange compared to the atmosphere of the older games and just lacked the ambiguity that the Covenant and the Flood had. The "Marvel Cinematic Universe" direction that they stepped in for Guardians was just mind boggling, and even moreso you only play about 3 missions with Master Chief in it. Oh, and no splitscreen. First Halo title I have flat out not purchased.
I'd definitely consider myself a Halo fan. I did play the first 2 a reasonable amount, but when I purchased the Xbox 360 that took me about 2 years to save up for I really fell in love with Halo. Made a lot of friends on Halo 3, some of which I still play games with now. ODST, Halo Wars and Reach were all great games in my opinion, each with their own ''thing''. When Halo 4 came out I have to say i was disappointed, I played through the campaign once and only played a bit of multiplayer before dropping it completely.
When I heard Halo 5 was coming on the Xbox One I wasn't sure if I was going to buy it, seeing as I didn't actually own an Xbox One and if I did buy one it would be solely for Halo. I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase a bundle. While the campaign received quite a few criticisms, most of which I agree with, the multiplayer was epic! The new fast pace arena style really appealed to me and I'm definitely looking forward to the next Halo games
I like halo, but I always hated the games before halo 4. It was always so frustrating that you could never sprunt without an ability in that game, and at least halo 4 added it as a basic control. Otherwise, the campaigns and gameplay of the halo games were absolutely addicting. Playing grifball on halo reach is still one of the funniest (and funnest) things to do on halo.
I've tried a couple of the Halo games because friends suggested them but I never really got into them. For some reason I find first person games very hard to navigate - maybe because I'm used to playing games that are third person. It isn't even just the Halo games. I've tried several games that were first person that I really WANTED to like because the storyline sounded so good but I just couldn't play them. I guess it takes some getting used to.
