Well I mean I'be been thinking about it and I actually do want it.... But I'm starting to second guess myself I really do want the wii U but I'm not sure if I want the 3Ds xl or the wiiU more... Help?

I agree with the reviewer. This is (of course) not revolutionary, but evolutionary. Not a must-have, except for Nintendo buffs and completists or those who just prefer a bigger screen and longer battery life...

I am starting to like the design of the 3DS XL more and more! The regular 3DS seems so much thicker and bricklike. The 3DS XL is slimmer, with bigger screens (and slimmer margins), and it's fingerprint-proof too! Seems somehow more elegant...

Looks like my dad will probably get me a Nintendo 3DS when it gets close to Christmas. I will have enough money for him to get it IF the silver one is out by the holiday season.
 
Before I buy this, though, I will probably try it out in a store... see with my own eyes what the graphics look like. If they are better (or at least the same ) as the orginal 3DS, then I will buy it.

I tried a store demo yesterday the 3ds xl is great its only a tiny bit heavier then the normal 3ds most people wouldnt notice the diff one time its sleek and comfortable to hold they only ahd super mario 3d land and tennis open but they felt great on a bigger screen the 3ds xl just feels better to me I still like the first model 3ds can't wait to pick it up in 3 days!!!

I think I would buy it, but only if I came into some extra money I don't need. While it would be nice to have, it really isn't a necessary addition to the system in my opinion.
 
Never once have I ever thought to myself "This 3ds is great, but it should be larger," so I will not be getting it.

I don't understand why nintendo didn't just release the 3ds xl at the same time they released the 3ds, that way, the people who consider the gigantic 3ds xl to be a portable console don't have to end up buying two systems.

Wuffy's 3DS has received some wear and tear ever since teh purchase, but it's the one that was played on OoT 3D the day it was brought home.
It's no different from a childhood plushie, just can't let it go for a newer model. :<
Now if it is beyond broken, may consider buying the XL version... If it was in a bundle at a price of at least $179.00... The screen is just... *Fart* bigger. Not really a new mechanic, as the older models had the same facelift. $200 is asking for some fingers, leg, bone,... Really, it shouldn't be so pricey for just a screen update.

I do like the 3DS, just disappointed in the colour choices being brought over to North America. I'm not a fan of flashy colours and would prefer either a white, black or grey handheld. I'll be waiting for Nintendo to bring those colours to North America before picking one up. If they had them at release I'd be getting one first day. Not sure why Nintendo limited choices to certain markets.

Then I'd actually be able to come home and preform a System Transfer before handing it over (my local Gamestop said they wouldn't be able to allow me to do it in-store).
