And if so, are you playing it as much as you used to?

For me, I rarely play the game any more to be honest. I mean, it's a little more stable than it used to be, and it can sometimes be enjoyable.

But there's just not enough to do at the moment. It needs stuff like trading, more Pokemon, more things to do outside of towns, etc. Without it, the incentive to keep playing is just so much less.

But how about you? Are you still playing Pokemon GO?

I turn it on every so often, but living in a rural area, there's honestly nothing out here. I mean I'm a short walk away from town, but even still, it's not enough. Once gen 2 Pokemon are released, it'll be different.

I haven't even played it yet, but some of my friends currently play it. I don't have time to play it because I'm always working now smh.

You don't have even five minutes? Because its one of those things you don't need to devote all your time to.

Either way, there's apparently an update with 'Buddy Pokemon'. Seems to be a neat mechanic, though I'm not sure when the update will finally be available here in the UK. Hopefully tomorrow or something.

But yeah, anyone got said update?

My friend was telling me about that. It sounds cool, but I wonder if it'll do something or if it's just for show.

Well, the Pokemon you're 'buddies' with bring you candy so they can level up. Which means for Pokemon like Dragonite, this might be the best chance unlucky sods have at getting one, if they can't easily find Dratinis in the wild.

Pokemon Go is a good form of exercise for people who hate exercise (such as myself). I don't play it as much as I used to. I was sick for almost a month and got out of the habit of exercising again. My mom still plays it quite a bit. We were going to the parks together a few nights a week up until a month ago. We took a trip over the summer and stayed out until almost 2am at a park near our hotel - there was a lot of other college aged kids playing too in the park. I think it's still popular but not as popular as it used to be. The newness has worn off. Most people already have their favorite pokemon by now, and there's just not much else to do. At this point I'm taking a break until trading or breeding or other new features come along :)

I agree with GeekySweetie, it's a great motivator for walking. I actually play now more than I used to, because the weather is cooling a bit, I'm high enough level to actually have a tiny chance at beating ONE Pokemon at gyms (lol), and I get together with friends every other week or so for Dinner and a Pokewalk, where we walk and chat and catch Pokemon in different areas in the city we don't otherwise often visit. It's fun! Pokemon Go has been a great opportunity-creator. As a game, it could be a lot better, but for what it is, I've loved it.

Well, it's pretty official that I mostly don't play Pokemon Go any more. It was quite fun, but the lack of variety just killed it. I mean, what's the point? Go hunting for the one in a hundred chance a new Pokemon will spawn or I get an interesting egg from a Pokestop? Cause that's all I got.

Eh, it probably works better for city folk.

When Pokémon GO first came out I played it leisurely whenever I was bored and didn't have any other obligations. I still play it leisurely but even less so, because I don't feel the need to compete with people as much as I did when the game came out. If there is no competition in a game then I usually end up losing interest and stop playing.

On the other hand, I recently got the Pokémon GO wristband and I've starting playing the game more than I did during early September, because the wristband reminds me if there are PokéStops or Pokémon nearby. This is a very good feature, so that even if I am focusing on something else at the moment I will be reminded if there is an opportunity to progress in the game.

So the Pokemon GO Plus inspired you to start playing again? That's pretty interesting.

Wonder if it'll help the game get more popular again in the future, or if others feel the same way.
