Read from Gematsu:

Assassin’s Creed Codename RED, the Feudal Japan-set entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, will launch by March 31, 2025, Ubisoft announced in its third quarter 2023 to 2024 earnings report.

Cg trailer:

Kunoichi MC is not PLOT-Y enough totally unlike KoeiTecmo's Kunoichi design (Okatsu, Ayane or Kasumi) or Capcom's Kaede , disappointing.

Need a ghost of Tsushima crossover.

a crossover with KoeiTecmo's sexy kunoichi PLOT ladies would be much better lol so Naoe could learn how to dress like a true kunoichi PLOT ladies instead of like what the game's character designer put her in lol Also Ubi is totaly wrong in calling her a shinobi no such thing during that era, female ninja is Kunoichi not Shinobi.

Read from pocketgamer biz:

Ubisoft shares have plummeted by 20% so far today following a delay of Assassin's Creed Shadows and "softer than expected" sales of Star Wars Outlaws.

The publisher has also lowered its financial targets for the current fiscal year and is now expecting break-even non-IFRS operating income.

The company’s Q2 has also been worse than expected, with reduced forecasts of €350 million ($390.4 million) to €370 million ($412.7 million) in net bookings. It had previously targeted €500 million ($557.7 million).

With its new targets, Ubisoft expects to generate net bookings of approximately €1.95 billion this fiscal year.

Japan’s Prime Minister Ishiba and National Diet members slam Ubisoft over Assassin’s Creed Shadows cultural disrespect

【Summary of Japan’s Parliamentary Discussion on Assassin’s Creed Shadows】

Hiroyuki Kada reviewed early gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and raised concerns about:

• A shrine altar being destroyed in the game.
• A shrine from his home district appearing without permission to use its name.

Kada then pointed out the risk of the game encouraging real-world vandalism, noting that:

• Some tourists have climbed shrine torii gates and committed graffiti.
• This kind of cultural disrespect is unacceptable.

In response, Vice Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Ōgushi stated that unauthorized use of real-world locations is unacceptable.

Prime Minister Ishiba responded:

• Graffiti on shrines is absolutely unacceptable.
• Japan will not simply remain silent on such issues.
• Showing respect for local cultures should be common sense.
