I had to install that yet from what it looks like, testing after I close Chromium again.

I don't know about Google Chrome because I don't use it, but Chromium never included Flash because Flash is non-free software (not to be confused with paid or shareware software).

Flash is not free because it's closed source.
I meant that free, not free as in "one does not pay for it".

Software that is not open source or partially open source (better known as "mixed source") is dubbed "non-free software" in the Linux user world.
