According to a blog post from Chief Marketing Officer Barry Judge, several Best Buy stores in Dallas will be testing a kiosk-based trade-in service this week for used video games.
The kiosk will apparently scan a used game, testing for functionality, and will issue a voucher which you can then trade in for gift card.
"It's a pretty slick system and one of the few trade-in programs to provide instant gratification; you get the gift card on the spot and can redeem it on anything in the store – not just another game," Judge wrote.
"We'll also be testing the sale of used games in those stores, and some of the kiosks will even rent games and movies.
No word yet on what the company's plans will be in terms of pricing.

this is kind of neat.
