Activison has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s Apocalypse DLC will hit PlayStation 3 and PC on September 26th.

Apocalypse is the fourth and final piece of content for Black Ops II and includes four additional maps. Two are new (Pod, set on a Cliffside in Taiwain, and Frost, set in a snow-covered European city) and two are based on previous Treyarch Call of Duty maps (Takeoff, based on Stadium from the original Black Ops and Dig, an updated version of Courtyard from World at War).

Apocalypse also features Origins, “the most horrifying and imaginative Zombies experience to date,” which puts players in “a Dieselpunk-stylized World War I-era France where they will encounter the return of the four original heroes – Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen – from the very first Zombies map featured in Call of Duty: World at War, as well as hordes of undead that have overrun the French countryside’s trenches and fields, as well as the ruins of an ancient and mysterious location.”

Apocalypse will cost $14.99 on its own, or is included free for players who purchased the Black Ops II Season Pass. The content was released for Xbox 360 players last month as part of Activision’s ongoing timed exclusive deal with Microsoft.
