Apparently they're changing characterisations, removing adult or 'morally questionable' in game content, changing plot elements for the hell of it (time travel to psychic powers or something similar) and deleting posts on the forums complaining about the changes.
Either way, it seems a bit over the top. Bit like something 4kids would do to an anime series...
