Yeah I know this is random and not about video games but hey, it's a good ice breaker! Currently my favorite book is The Hunger Games. It's really fantastic!
It's just cool how the author crafts each and every character's history to make the reader understand completely why each character is the way he/she is. It's almost like you know the psychological reasons each person acts a certain way.
The His Dark Materials Trilogy, otherwise known as, The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. Those are my favorites. Although the writing value in the third seems to be rushed as hell, making the others higher on my list. Another series I enjoy is Pendragon, can't remember which book I have to read next though, it's been a few years since I've read it, I think it may have been the 5th book. I also enjoyed the Artemis Foul series a bit. I also like the Eragon Books, just waiting for the fourth to be released.
Heh, guess that was a longer list than expected, but I guess that's what the topic is about, books.
I can't really narrow down to a favorite book. Right now I'm reading the "Winning of America" series, which is mainly about expanding the American frontier from the mid-1700s through the early 1800s. I've read the first two books in the series, The Frontiersmen and Wilderness Empire, and I'm currently reading A Sorrow in our Hearts which is more of a supplemental reading to go along with the series rather than a main entry in it. Sounds really dry and boring, but it's actually an exciting read, especially The Frontiersmen. Reading the series has given me a more complete picture of American history than any History class ever offered me.
My favourite series is probably either Artemis Fowl or the Inheritance series.
I'm reading my way through the Discworld series at the moment, though, and greatly enjoying them.
Either The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or Fight Club, I really want to read some classics through the summer though. I haven't been reading as much as I've wanted to.
Of all that I have already read, Mines the Ink trilogy. I just can't believe how imaginative it is. Currently, i'm reading The D/\ \/inci Code. too bad I don't have Angels & Demons.
