Do you think that All Cartoons and animations are for kids?
I don't think so, some of them were made to Adult audiences, however that has not been agreed with as some people still think that everything drawn or animated is strictly for children.
There are plenty of animated shows that are targeted towards adults. For instance, there is The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy - and that's merely scratching the surface. i don't think there is anything wrong with animation being used for adult shows, it is just another tool of the trade, plus you can do stuff in animation that you wouldn't be able to in live action and such.
