I will have to see a therapist to see how I can overcome this phobia for dogs.

Dogs are my preferred pet. I've got two dogs at the moment. I can't take in more than two for now because of lack space to house all of us.
I prefer dogs from a bad experience with having two brother cats for 10yrs once.
I was considering of getting a dog but after much research I decided my it wouldn't be good for my lifestyle.
I feel that modern day dog genetics have gone downhill though. When I went to look up breeds and dogs I quickly found out that a lot of people struggle with unhealthy pets and vets seem to have a big hold on people now.
I felt that having a dog now seems like too much of a risk of being caught up in endless vet bills and worry some health issues that create sadness and stress.
The main reason I didn't get a pet is because of the dedication. I'm a bachlor and I would get locked down at my place. If I was in a home with a family then there would be plenty of time for a pet.

It's not mandatory to love dogs and cats or even keep both of them at the same time. The most important thing is not harming the one's you don't like.
