Anyone play any city building games? I have always been a fan of this genre starting with Sim City when I was quite young. I remember getting Sim City 2000 for my PlayStation 2, which started my interest in it.

Then I got Sim City 4 for the PC and though it was really any awesome game. It still is in my opinion, and probably the best Sim City in the series. Due to a lot of problems and issues with the ones they've released more recently, I haven't gotten anymore Sim City's but I did get Cities: Skylines during the Steam winter sale and it is a pretty sweet game too.

I love any type of simulation or building games, so Sim City is right up my alley. I actually had an old Macintosh with Sim City 2000 for a long time as a kid, and now I play it every once in awhile from GOG.

I've also played a bit of Skylines, but I don't quite have a computer up for the task of running it well, so I'll wait to open it up again.

I played Sims games on PC but I haven't played City Buildings, till last week. I started playing SimCity Build It at my iPad though and I got addicted.

There are some pretty good city-building games like Cities: Skylines and SimCity (any version, the newer the better). I love this kind of game, they're really addictive and are primarily good for people who are really creative. The only thing that turns me off a little about these games is that the resource maintaining part is really hard...

Games such as Sim City, The Sims and even Theme Hospital and Theme Park are certainly classic games that people still enjoy playing to this day. Railroad Tycoon as well is also another title that broke the mould, and if you enjoy that kind of niche of game, in the past you certainly had a lot to keep you happy, although these days it seems that the ideas for those kind of games is starting to run out.

While I have played all the games that I've mentioned, it was never my favourite style of game so there well might be games that are made in that style still being made, but if there is they're not ones that you'd find at the top of the gaming charts.

I just recently got Cities: Skylines and I'm really enjoying it. It's the first proper city building game I've played. I've played the mobile version of Simcity and enjoyed that too. Yeah the genre, although new to me, seems like a pretty fun one. I can't really explain why it's fun though.

I like city building games a lot. I find it is enjoyable to build the cities and manage everything. Recently have got Cities: Skylines & SimCity 5.
