Clean Slate
I like the idea of the show, but the execution leaves quite a lot on the table. I didn't really find anything that funny, which would probably be okay but the drama is also pretty generic and predictable.
Overall I'm just left disappointed. This felt like a very standard corporate dramedy which kind of sucks because the premise was good.
Transparent Season 1
It's not bad. It has a very unique and interesting premise. The main character is very well acted. I think I need to watch more seasons before I can fully develop an opinion on this show, it's a very slow burn.
This is honestly the hardest review I've had to do, the show is very dense and it takes time to fully dissolve.
Transparent Season 2
After Season 2, I'm starting to get the feeling that I don't really enjoy this show. These characters are just douchebags, and they become quite difficult to watch the more the show goes on.
I won't pretend like I don't enjoy horrible people as characters, but there is a balance to it, and I don't think this show strikes that balance well.
Transparent Season 3
I really didn't want to dislike this show, but damn I'm not happy to see anyone here. None of these characters click for me. They do get less awful as the show goes on but it still doesn't make me interested in this.
To be blunt, I'm genuinely confused as to why this is so highly praised. There's insightful commentary, but it's wrapped inside of a drama where I'm not happy to see any of these characters.
Transparent Season 4
It's another season. They really didn't do much different. I could just copy and paste my earlier reviews honestly.
Anyways, it's almost over.
Transparent Season 5
Okay so the main actor got fired for sexual harassment, so this is just a single musical episode.
That's the most interesting thing about this honestly. The musical is fine I guess. Honestly, I don't really have much else to say, this was a disappointment for me.
