Since GL is hosted on Xenforo, that means most important stuff is located on the sidebar but I know not everyone enjoys the sidebar so it is possible to collapse it.
To collapse it, go to the main index, look at the top upper right corner to see an arrow button (you may need to scroll over a little) and click it. Then click it again to reveal the sidebar.
