Daily GL General Chat

Happy April Fools day everyone. Enjoy the weekend. Looking forward to just relaxing and watching the football now that the international games are finally over.

So tempted to spend some of my Ninty eShop wallet cash but can't justify spending on anything because I haven't been gaming too much recently.

I'm going to sleep a lot over the weekend, finally getting through the final stages of Covid!
I know the feeling of having COVID and it sucks!

Why has the weekend already finished :(?

The good news is that I'm almost done with Uni for this term so looking forward to having a bit of time off on Tuesdays and Fridays.

I know seems like the week goes by slow, but the weekend goes by so quick!

Congrats on almost finishing Uni for this term and having some free time!

I generally never have those days off funny enough. But sometimes I get Fridays off and work the weekend.

Yoshi-P appearing in a Japanese TV Show :

translated by Siliconera:

“Teacher Mistake: Don’t Become Like Me!!” and focuses on people discussing their mess-ups and what lessons to take from them.

He discusses more challenges he faced during the episode, which is available for free for viewers in Japan through Abema. For example, a mistake he made was delegating too many resources to objects in the world. While it certainly made the world more realistic and beautiful, only around 30 players could exist on-screen at once. Items like flower pots would continue to be visible even when players were not. He learned at the time what to prioritize and to set more realistic expectations for consoles and engines.

So Will Smith resigned from the academy after the incident, read from CBR:

After the fateful events of the biggest night in Hollywood, the infamous slap quickly spread across news outlets. Despite the assault not spawning any legal trouble and Smith having apologized for his brash actions, the Oscar Award-winning actor chose to resign from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. This left many to ponder how this would impact Smith’s career in the future.

Becoming a member of the Academy is a long and arduous process that is not to be taken lightly, as the member in question’s experience has to meet the Academy’s high standards. While Smith’s actions on Oscar night violated Academy conduct, no immediate disciplinary measures were placed against him. He was allowed to stay throughout the ceremony and even won Best Actor for his leading role in King Richard.

However, the Academy later took disciplinary measures against Smith, first by having him write a response explaining his actions. Smith apologized for causing the scene, which "stole the spotlight from other winners at the Academy Awards." Shortly after the apology, Smith filed his resignation, which the Academy accepted.
