I have a feeling the moment a recompile is mentioned, goodbye project lol. That emulator is going to be taken down too, just like the Switch and 3DS emulators. (I'm sure someone will mirror it somewhere on the internet, we all know once it's on the internet it's hard to take it down!)
Indeed just as you said. like what happened to the previous emulators that were DMCAed by them. like now there's "new" ryujinx and is now in dev lol
And Recomp should be harder to take down, unlike a unified centralized emulator team (e.g., Yuzu), recomp projects often pop up across scattered GitHub forks, decentralized repositories, and community-run archives. Even if Nintendo issues a DMCA takedown or forces a repo offline, forks and mirrors frequently reappear elsewhere before the legal bomb actually dropped by them evil nintendo lawyers lol.
They need Zelda's Bombchu rather than Mario Bob-omb to bomb the decomp projects lol as the Bombchu could scurries along floors, travels up walls, and climbs ceilings lol
