The demo for Resident Evil is up and for free on the eShop! (has been since yesterday.)
Looks very good! You get 30 plays.
 
I downloaded this demo, and I was happy with it. It delivered a few jump scares/ startling moments. I can't wait to pick up my copy of the game and my circle pad pro.
 
Me too! I got kind of scared/surprised when the first zombie jumped out of the closet. Only for a minute....
I actually died the first time.
Probably won't buy the game, but will get the slide peripheral!
 
I was playing it last night and, while I still despair a little at the tank controls in this day and age, it was glorious.

In saying that, the controls are quite easy to get used to and they've kept the quick 180. I jumped a couple of times, which is good as I don't usually jump wasy on games these days and the music actually really added to the tension.

I'll be first in line to get this next week. I've been playing RE since the very first one and this one seems closest to the first few that I loved so much.
 
Ive not played the demo as i dont want the full game spoliling, i want to be suprised.

I have had it pre ordered with the circle pad pro for a while now and i had an email today saying it had been dispatched

Played the demo and jumped at the last encounter in hell mode (unlocked after beating the normal mode demo. I thought the controls were fine but will enjoy playing more in gyro aiming mode.

For those who want to see what comes before the demo, here is a video of Chapters 1-1 and 1-2 by Capcom. They mention different control styles and demonstrate some basics.

I can't wait for this game to come out!
