Bungie has dropped the bomb and announced that Microtransactions are coming to Destiny. Though don't freak out yet, as so far it will only concern cosmetic items like emotes and sparrow skins.
Till next fall, they plan on releasing some free story content for all TTK owners.

Here is the prices:
500 Silver costs $5, 1000 costs $10 plus a bonus of 100, and 2000 costs $20 plus a bonus of 300. Rare emotes cost 200 Silver, while legendary emotes cost 500. There are 18 emotes in all: 2 legendary and 16 rare. To purchase all of them would cost 4,200 Silver or $40 USD.
Everyone who plays Destiny will get some free Silver.
