Did anyone buy Yoshi's New Island?

I was really tempted to, but I'm currently trying to only buy 5 games throughout the whole year (bought 3 so far, eep), and this one didn't make the cut.

Maybe next year~



I see where you're coming from. I'd say I'm probably in the same situation. After all, if you've got a bunch of games like Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros (both versions), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Mario 3D World to buy at some point (yeah, no Wii U here yet), there's no real justification for wasting money on an unspectactular title like this one.
 
I think it's like NSMB2 in terms of reviews- The main reason people are hating on it is because it doesn't introduce a great deal of new mechanics.

Even if I haven't noticed much that wasn't in the original (Although I've not played the original YI so it feels new enough to me), I think it's still a good game. It's not that hard so far, though. (I've just beaten World 3.)
