If someone told me that there will be gaming smartphone like the ASUS ROG Smartphone has 128 GB or more GB of storage in the future, I would not believe them saying a smartphone will have more storage space than the Sony PS3 120GB game consoles with 120GB of storage.
I think eventually smartphones maybe the same level as some cheaper gaming desktop computers depending on how fast future mobile CPU, RAM, and video chips will be, and if there will still be a demand for super fast gaming smartphones.
