I think it would be cool that a smartphone/tablet, and PC came with a bundled gamepad controller like the Playstation or Xbox controller, so I don't need to use touchscreen controls to play mobile games with controller support, and I can use a controller to play PC games rather than keyboard and mouse.
I wish my PC came with a steam controller. Though I built it a few months before the design we released.

Would be nice, but the days of including stuff with purchases is nearly over.

I agree, the days of including stuff with purchases is almost overly. It's too bad that the prices of purchases with fewer things are not more affordable, and sometimes higher when you need to buy the stuff to use the purchases properly, or buy the bundle with the stuff you need.

I personally don't mind, they would normally charge more for it anyway and I don't like mobile games so it wouldn't benefit me.

It would be really awesome to get the gamepads for computer purchases. Or make some sort of bundle deal along with the purchase of a new computer. But, unfortunately, there will be a rise in price and some people wouldn't be too happy about that. It'd still be awesome to be able to go out and buy a computer and also get the gamepad in the same purchase so that way, whenever I'm done setting up my computer, I'll be on my way to gaming!
In my experience, anything that comes bundled with another product is not the best quality. If you really want to play using a physical D-pad and buttons on the go, try something like the
Logitech Powershell. The price is a bit steep at $70, but I think it's worth it if the alternative is carrying a full-sized controller everywhere.
I reckon this could be a good bundle to get when buying a game or computer as, some games do require a controller like the Witcher 2 as some parts require you pulling a lever and doing that with a mouse is hard. I think the cost could be lowered but may not happen at present, as the company would not profit as much if they gave away a controller for free and lose money which would not be good. It could happen one day and may be people will be able to pay more if discounts are given when specials are occuring which will be good to see.
Right now I am not playing many games that require a controller or gamepad so I don't really mind about it not being bundled. Also it is fairly easy to pick up a usb game controller for pc use which I would probably do if I needed one.
