Disney buys Star Wars?

Well, not just Star Wars. They bought Lucasfilm including all movie properties and their games. They also announced a new Star Wars film is in production:

Yes, they plan to make episodes VII onwards! Including another trilogy in a few years, and movies every three or so years after that.

And considering they also own the Indiana Jones series, that could be getting a few more movies and things as well...

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I mean, I don't want to see two beloved movie series getting milked too much, but Disney has to do a better job than Lucas, right? Because Disney has made some pretty good movies lately, with fairly high review scores and decent audience receptions, in contrast to the recent efforts of Lucas which were terribly received. So hey, their new Star Wars film could be pretty good.

Hm, I heard about this on the radio not long ago. I'm not really a fan of Star Wars though.

I'm sorry, but information added to episodes 1-3 for the movies DIRECTLY CONTRADICTS information in episodes 7-9 so I do not see how those could be made into movies. If this is true, then it is sad day (further research is showing it to be true too... ugh).

Star Wars is running into the ground now. There's no more they can do for the series. The games bring little justice since most of them aren't that great. This is a terrible idea. I still may seen them since I'm a big Star Wars fan, but still.

Great, now I'll be bitterly disappointed when that doesn't happen.

Meh. Disney can actually make decent movies in most cases. Unlike some film makers they haven't lost their touch. So long as they can do the movies right.

Honestly, when it comes to Star Wars, then Disney, I just don't see the two mixing well together. Disney has surprised me once or twice though, maybe they might pull through again.
