Do you camp out to buy games/consoles?

Do you go wait outside a store for days or weeks to be the first in to buy a new game or console you want to buy?

Personally, I've never done this. Yes you might be 'guaranteed' to get one if the store hasn't taken enough pre orders or has saved some for the event, but it's far too much time and effort to spend on something that's honestly not that important.

What do you think?

The only time I can ever remember "camping" to get a game/console was with the Pokemon BW release. Our college gaming group organized an outing to wait outside of a local Game Stop for an hour before they opened to get the new games and then have some time to play before our big release party that afternoon.

But yeah, I've never waited longer than an hour. I'm glad we could pre-order the Wii U.

Yeah I have two Gamestops, two Wal-Marts and tons of other stores that carry a large amounts of games/consoles within a very short distance. yay big cities.=P
So I really have no reason to camp out, if I want a game/console it's going to be available, and I can't think a reason why I would want to sit out all night in the city with a bunch of other people waiting for a game/console....
I like playing video games, but not that much...

But if I had the opportunity I probably would camp out for Wii U...

I've stayed over night outside best buy for the wii but never days ahead. With 3DS i was the first inline and I skated 40 minutes to gamestop! didnt have to for 3DS.

No way. No offense to those people, but isn't that a waste of life? I would rather preorder it and wait the couple of days for shipping than sit outside with a bunch of strangers who could do who knows what to you. No thank you, I have more important things to do and no game is THAT important.

Only once when the N64 launched but that was because my friend had the hots for this one nerdy girl, who wanted us to go, honestly I think she liked me lol

Since we have 2 kids now, maybe she does
