I feel I would be fine with a 1080P screen on a gaming laptop because the screen is smaller and very few laptop video chips can run games at 4K screen resolution. But. I feel a gaming monitor should have a resolution of 4K because a desktop gaming monitor is bigger in size.

As long as its crystal clear, I don't care.

This is true, as long as it is crystal clear, it would look good.

I think dead pixels are less noticeable on a 4K screen compared to a 1080P screen because the pixels are smaller in size, and you are less likely to have many dead pixels in the same location on a 4K monitor.

Most laptops aren't that powerful to run 4K at normal temperature and FPS. I feel like 1080P is the sweat spot for me.

Laptops with a 2K(2560 x 1440 pixel) screen can be good for some laptops with a more powerful video chip. The extra pixels may make some newer games release in the future look better when more games are designed to look better on 2K and 4K screens.

But, I feel 1080P Gaming laptops are good for most laptop gamers.
