I have an IPhone 13 I purchased about a year ago. Will do me for a number of years. I don’t upgrade every year.

And they are already working on iPhone 15 that's going to be out next year lol. A luxury product for the rich.

I don't own an iPhone because I mainly use my cell phone for voice calls, so a cheaper smartphone or non-smartphone cell phone is good enough.
I don't use my main Samsung Galaxy for calls. It's my work phone lol.

I usually use my desktop computer for most tasks, so my cell phone may last longer because I am using it less, so I am less likely to drop it.
That's good too as it takes off a lot of work on your smartphone.
Most people just make monthly payments on their phones, and a bunch of normal random people in public have iPhones, so I never got why people keep claiming it’s for the rich.
If it's that easy for most people, they would have iPhone 14 Pro Max now. Do they?
The Pro Max isn’t the only iPhone 14 that’s available. Picking the most expensive version and using that as a baseline doesn’t make the entire line a luxury product, and is a pretty deceptive tactic.
It's more expensive than the RTX 4080 and with really really really weak 3D Gaming rendering Capabilities lol a waste of money.
If say Nintendo's Next Gen Switch could double as a mobile phone I would be very happy, finally a fully capable portable 3D gaming console phone lol

It's just a graphics card.
I will say it's definitely incorrect that an iPhone 14 is more expensive than a 4090 when the 4090 is double the price of a base model iPhone 14, and is still more expensive than the 14 Pro Max by a wide margin. Also a graphics card's only job is to basically just render 3D graphics, while a phone does a lot of other things.
RTX 4090 price: $1599
iPhone 14 - $799
iPhone 14 Pro Max - $1099
RTX 4090 is around $1,599 - $2,000 and RTX 4080 is around $1,400 - $1,900.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max 1Tb version is $ 1499 on iphone's website
True it's just one component of a gaming machine but it's the major component. and you don't need a strong CPU and a beefy RAM to make a gaming machine and a small SSD will suffice so with a just little more you can build a capable gaming PC.
