My $700 price was my rough estimate for an iPhone when you said it was more expensive than the 4080RTX 4090 is around $1,599 - $2,000 and RTX 4080 is around $1,400 - $1,900.

I was talking about the iPhone 14 Max Pro 1 TB version it's $1499 - $1599 on Apple's website. The standard version yes it's cheaper than the RTX 4080. And NVIDIA is planning to cut the RTX 4080 prices soon.My $700 price was my rough estimate for an iPhone when you said it was more expensive than the 4080
That's a bit disingenuous to pick the most expensive version, especially when the price jump is just from storage. I also think it's unfair to compare a phone to a graphics card, when the entire point of a graphics card is to... render graphics, while a phone does other things.I was talking about the iPhone 14 Max Pro 1 TB version it's $1499 on Apple's website. It's an overkill of a Gaming GPU lol the 4070 and the 4080 versions are the sweetspots.

It's cherry picking for the sake of cherry picking.
I find it pointless to compare a single function device to a multi-function device, especially if we're comparing price to spec ratio. A multi-function device has other things to consider for its price, as opposed to a single function device where it really only does one thing. If I buy a $1000 digital camera, that better take better pictures than a similarly priced phone. The same goes for a $1000 monitor compared to a $1000 laptop, it's expected the monitor to be better than a laptop that has the computer components in its price.RTX 4080 is a High end GPU thus must be compared with a High End version of the iphone too anyway It's just my opinion because to me gaming machine is everything and not a fan of smartphones or mobile games. My Sister is a diehard iphone fan and she has no problem spending that much on it, so To each their own.
With a little bit more you can already build a capable gaming machine Like I posted before, you don't need a strong CPU and a beefy RAM to make a gaming machine and a small SSD will suffice so with just a little more you can build a capable gaming PC as the GPU is the main component of a gaming machine. Like I said it's just my opinion and to me gaming machine is everything and not a fan of smartphones, you are taking it too seriously. It was just a small comment from me and my opinion. As I said To each their own. And it's getting off track.I find it pointless to compare a single function device to a multi-function device, especially if we're comparing price to spec ratio. I don’t have a problem with thinking you get more enjoyment out of a dedicated gaming rig than a smartphone, so you’d dedicate your money to that. I was just saying the truth that it's my way of comparing things, I never meant to cause such an issue for you from just a small comment lol. If you think of me as being really sleazy then fine by me I don't have any problems with it lol.I don’t have a problem with thinking you get more enjoyment out of a dedicated gaming rig than a smartphone, so you’d dedicate your money to that. The part I was having issue with was cherry picking the most expensive option, then comparing it to a dedicated GPU and repeatedly saying “it’s my opinion”. That comes off as being really sleazy.
It’s one of those situations where when you see things done that way too many times, it gets really grating after awhile. Especially when most people doing that are very intentional about it.I was just saying the truth that it's my way of comparing things, I never meant to cause such an issue for you from just a small comment lol. Never used an iPhone. I would if it's given to me. I prefer android more. The new iPhone mobile device by Apple is everywhere in the market. Have you purchased yours or you still make use of the one you have now?
