Do you keep your starter in your team?

Do you leave them as part of your Pokemon team once you start building up a full party, or do you swap them out for whatever Pokemon you feel would work best?

I'm wondering this because quite a few people seem to end up keeping their first Pokemon around, while others quickly shove it in a box and put something more fitting in its place.

What do you do?
 
Oh yeah, all the time. I always have a special connection to my starter Pokemon, and always end up going till the end of the game with them.
 
Not keep the starter? Are people crazy? The starters tend to have better IV's than the wild pokemon you'll catch most of the time.
 
Of course I keep my starter. I find it insulting not to. I mean it's the first one you get in the game. How could someone be as heartless as to not use it?

Well...... I still use my starter in my team, and I keep train it until it becomes strong, so it is as useful as the legendary, although it's weaker then the legendaries
 
I don't keep my starter, keeping your starter in my opinion is just as low as using legendaries on your team.

My White 2 Team:
Wailord
Reuniclus
Arcanine
Lilligant
Archeops
Tyranitar

All level 100, I haven't played the game in like 3 weeks though.

i remember when i saW my cute Piplup, it never left my party until we finished the game together. Though I put it in a box for a while I think I should relive my memories from 2 years ago

It's fine if you use them, go ahead, but I feel like using the starters makes people lose their individuality because every kid uses them and the starters are all strong as hell. They level up quicker than normal Pokemon as well.

Do they level up quicker? I've never noticed. Then again I'm not into all the secret training bs that Pokemon has to offer.
