I used to use online chatrooms to chat about different topics like computers, and entertainment. But, chatrooms members post offtopic replies and spam which can make chatrooms not as useful.
I don't really like group chats in real life because many chatters can go offtopic or make rude remarks which make the chat less enjoyable.

I don't mind since I don't join spamming groups lol.
I can understand going off topic with some talk but you see this making rude remarks, I can't stand it.

I pick the groups that I join. I mean there is no big deal with being in groups with friends.
As long as the group chat is well coordinated, I'm very cool with it.

Insults are a big turn off for me on chats. So, I am always careful on how I relate with people that I chat with on groups.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are too lousy today online. It's a shame.

The wonders of moderating the chat.
Exactly.. If that's not done, everything becomes chaotic. I have been in one group chat where someone spammed the group to hell with porn links.. It was horrible.

What is the difference between typing and talking in a group chat? I think they are the same unless you are talking about making voice notes?

Last time I was in a group chat was with my brothers. My younger brother included myself and our older brother in a group chat because he was looking for a particular console that the three of us shared and he was trying to figure out who currently was in possession of it.
In a case like that, I don't mind being in a group chat. But I'm not one to participate in a group chat on a regular basis. I'm doing good just keeping up with posts from one person.

All my chats are on mute. I hate getting chats notifications.

If you have a lot of things on uour desk, muting a group chat is the best thing to do.
