I only use it for links back, but the karma system, and reddit bots remove a lot of my links. :/
Yeah, ERP, as it's called seems to be pretty popular within those parts.
I agree. The bots are horrid! Just when you think you're following all the rules, the darn bot will remove your ad. The problem with Reddit is I think there are too many rules!

I was reading for college that ERP also means enterprise resource planning. So it's even funnier.

Unfortunately it's not just the bots that can cause your links to be removed. Actual real moderators can go on a power trip and delete them too. But most of the time the subreddits do have rules against self promotion. I make sure to ask the moderators of subs before I start posting links to prevent this from happening.
I know the comments section of Deviant Art is/was notorious for really weird shit. There’s also FF14 with horny guilds that try to bully people into RP :3

Back in the day when RP forums were big, most were serious RPs.
One thing I can't stand about several of the Reddit groups that cater towards us role player's is the constant down-voting. Like, I posted in, I think it was LFG or Groups or something, about a Big Eyes Small Mouth game I was starting up, legit looking for people, and my post got down-voted into oblivion. It's like, is this group for the cliques only? Why bother to feature advertising if every ad for a game other than like D&D is down-voted into the abyss? I mean, with the amount of complaining that I see about D&D and just finding Game Masters, you'd think I'd have no problem finding people.
