The last MMO game I played that was not paid subscription based was Stronghold Kingdoms. After three years of that, I quit. It's too repetitive and time consuming for what it was worth.
The last MMO game I played that had a paid subscription was World of Warcraft with the Warlords of Draenor expansion. It was the first time in a long time, since vanilla WoW that I actually had fun. However, the last time I played that game was about three to four months ago. The reason I suspended by account was that I was just 'moving on'. I will never truly quit the game unless Blizzard decides to stop updating the game and the game dies down to a point where it becomes 'meh'.
I also returned to play SWTOR for about a week, but I haven't touched that game for about three months. I might go back to it sometime in the future.
With that said, I am not involved with any MMO games as of today. I have way too many single player and multiplayer games on my computer to play before I get back into MMO games. Besides, no MMO game after WoW has enchanted me yet. I played ArcheAge for a month and I didn't like it. There were some unique features, but overall, it just felt like a grindfest. WoW had enough grinding to last me a century.
