I am sure online transactions are pretty much what we do these days.
Still, don't you think we need to keep don't can handy? What do you guys think?
 
I feel people should carry some cash on them to buy food, take a taxi or bus, re-pay money to people you borrowed from, and pay for other products and services. There is always a chance your credit and debit card gets lost, stolen, or broken for some reason like a dog bitting your card in half.

There is also a chance that the internet is not working, or your computer and smartphone is also not working, or lost, so you can't make online payments.

That's true. I always try to have some money with me, just to be on the safe side and not to rely on others. It's better to be self sufficient
 
We will always need cash, there are those who are anti credit cards. Plus sometimes credit machines do go down so you can only pay with cash.
 
I think Cash will always be popular with people who have money spending problems related to having problems controlling their spending when they use credit cards, debit cards, writing checks, and online payments. At least with cash, you can see and touch how much money you spend by counting coins, and paper money, so you maybe less likely to over spend once you see the money in your wallet is becoming less because you are spending too much money which you may need for more important things like paying for rent and food.

People with spending problems can also only carry a small amount of cash when they go out, so they won't spend a lot of cash when they go out.
 
I don't carry cash on my that much anymore. I use to carry cash on my all the time. Now, I very rarely have cash on me. It would be a nice idea to have at least a little bit of cash on you at times. You might want something to eat/drink at the store and what will happen if your debit/credit card doesn't work.
 
Some stores have cash discounts because Credit card companies have processing fees which the store has to pay when you buy stuff with a credit card. I use cash to save money at stores with cash discounts.

This. and its getting bad in my town with some resturants.

A gas station I use does give discounts on cash, so I always pay gas with cash.
 
I heard news stories of people having their credit card data stolen at stores like Target, so I feel some people feel more comfortable using cash at stores which had credit card data stolen from the stores credit card readers.

people can be found with fake cash as well.

Hey now, it can be a store, the person or some random place which a counterfit slips into it. Some cashiers are so dumb it don't take much to start flooding the market.

I know some stores use a UV light and fake which can detect some fake bills. I think most banks may have a machine which also detect fake bills, so the bills which get fake bills which deposited may get sent to the police, so the police can see if they can investigate and catch the criminals who are making and spending fake money.
 
People, in general, will always need cash because not everyone has bank accounts or cards. For me, personally though, I can't remember the last time I even touched cash.
 
True. I would be in a lot of trouble then lol. Which is quite a crazy thing to think about really because I'm sure a lot of other people are in the same situation where they don't really keep cash on hand anymore

it can always happen, a nation wide downage to the credit system would screw a lot of people.
