Do you use a gaming/mechanical keyboard?

I know it pretty much depends on the type of games you play, but I was wondering if anyone uses or has a gaming/mechanical keyboard.
If so, which one? And do you like or recommend it?

I have the Corsair K70 with brown switches. I really love it, although if you type a lot it probably isn't the best for you due to the sensitivity, but it makes for good game playing.

I've always wondered, but what is the point?

I'm currently using Logitech K330, not a gaming type but this is what I use whenever I game.

I've been wanting to buy mechanical keyboard for a simple reason. I wanted to try how does it feel to type in it. Haha. I guess typing in mechanical keyboard is nice?

Well it depends on the types of games you play. I got it mostly because I'm tapping the keyboard a lot and the quicker I can tap the keys, the better I can play. Also it prevents me from fatigue on my hands and wrists if play a lot in contrast when I play a lot on a regular keyboard.

I personally love the feel but I know it is not everyone's cup of tea.

The feel is really good with regular gaming. Depending on the color of switches you buy though it can make it easy to make mistakes when typing. For example, red switches are the most sensitive but hard to actually type on. Blue switches are suppose to be good with typing, but are really loud when you type.

I bought the brown, which are semi sensitive and less loud so I do not annoy others, especially if I am in a group call.

I have the Logitech G710+ keyboard with cherry mx brown switches. Even though I do like the keyboard a lot, I'm not sure if it was worth how much more it costs. At least I know it's going to last me forever.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you? I know it does get pricy and I haven't used mine in a while since I'm taking a summer off the game I use it on, Tetris. I am still glad I made the purchase though.

So do you think logitech a good brand for mechanical keyboards then? I research for a long time before buying since they are so expensive and finally decided on Corsair. Also, do you like the brown switches? I always wonder if I should had gotten red.

I actually own a Corsair K70 Keyboard Cherry MX Blue. It's definitely quite a bit higher quality than a normal keyboard. It's definitely a lot louder than a normal keyboard though. Especially when I stream, my mic picks up the clacks really heavily, which can kind of be a bother. Overall, I'm very happy with the decision I made. The backlighting is really what sells it for me, it looks and feels so nice.

I spent so long playing with a game controller on PC after switching from console that I could never get used to a standard keyboard or even a gaming keyboard; however, I recently bought a gaming keypad, basically just something with 6-7 keys on it and a few buttons and its so much more comfortable and easy to maneuver I don't know how I ever used a controller with PC. My accuracy has improved so much. It takes a while to get used to, but the benefits are fantastic.

The backlighting is so nice, isn't it? :) I love the backlight, and it was something I was really looking to find in a mechanical keyboard. I had heard the blues are loud and unfortunately there is no way around it, but it still is very nice to type and play games on for me. Plus I like the extra keys that you're given for some numbers and the WASD keys because I find the keys without needing to look.

I currently own a razer blackwidow with blue mx switches. It's lasted me a good 4 years and it's still going strong. I can't say the same about some of my other razer products, but the blackwidow is definitely a solid keyboard and i can't find myself going back to membrane keyboards after using mechanical ones :D

I never tried one and I don't think I will get one soon.I can't really see the difference and I feel like the price doesn't justify itself

Wait, is the Keyboard installed on your laptop worse than those expensive multi-hundred dollar ones that you buy? They function the same way, but one of them is just more costly is it not.

Mine is a microsoft mechanical keyboard with far more keys that I would ever need. I'm accustomed to mechanical keyboard, thus I would choose them over other kind of key
input devices.

I have a Logitech G105. Not a mechanical one, but considered a gaming one. I've never had a mechanical keyboard, but they do seem like they'd be nice to use.
