Does Paper Mario: Sticker Star have partners?

By the looks of the images shown from the trailers, we can see Mario being accompanied by a Toad, Chain Chomp, and crown like pixl (in which shown to be named Kersti) in at least one or two pictures. As for the rest of them, Mario seems to be on his own in various of areas.

You think the characters shown are just supportive NPCs that join you for a short period of time similar to those such as Goompa, Professor Frankly, and Flavio while Mario adventures on his own? Or do you think the partner system will work differently in this game?

If this game does include partners, what new kind and type of allies are you hoping for?

So far it looks like it doesn't have partners. I'm kind of disapointed by this if there are none, but it's not a big loss. I mean Mario always has partners in Paper Mario games, but not in other Mario games so I guess it's not a big deal.

If there are partners I'd say that they should have a hammer bro. partner. That would be pretty cool.
