I haven't. I just do it on a file-path that people don't know of on a server until I am ready to launch.

It maybe useful to use WordPress, or Forum software offline as some sort of an offline diary/journal, and the forum software can be use as an offline bulletin message board to leave posts and PM your friends and family which use the same computer, and user account on your computer.
