After recovering from his wounds he got promoted, PLOT-ED his Waifu (and much much later, by end game (the game is around 40 hours) it will be revealed that he got her pregnant and married her lol) and joined the best of the best Mecha Covert Ops Regiment Barghest. Not bad, he accomplished all that just by getting fataly wounded lol, recorded the PLOT scene:
