The first pokemon sent out still gets 100% of the experience. Then even without sending them out, the other pokemon in your party get 50% of the experience each. This key item is really over powered. Thankfully you have the option to turn it on and off. But why leave it on if it takes away the challenge of pokemon? I can understand that the item is good for beginners and kids who have started playing pokemon. What do you guys think about this item, because I don't think its worth taking advantage of it.

Its amazing. I've maintained around a 7 level lead on the trainers in the game thanks to this, and it makes it easier to keep all you pokemon close in level.

Also, free XP. Why WOULDN'T you have it on all the time?

I agree that it can make the game easier since everyone in your party gets XP. Wasn't it a held item before? Or am I remembering it wrong?

Yeah it was, you gave it to one Pokemon in previous games to share XP. I like the way it is now. I'm only using it every few battles. Only when 2 Pokemon are falling behind a bit.

I think it was done to encourage trainers to keep their pokemon around the same level to aid with competitive wifi battles. I mean look at how easy it is to EV train now. It's almost as though all the changes for X and Y are aimed at taking away the hassle of preparing pokemon for battles and making it easier for you to jump into the competitive arena and have fun

I agree it's the best thing they added. This way it's is way easier to train for wifi battles or to train a whole new 6 Pokemon team.

Yeah, I find it a complete waste to EV train one Pokémon for a few days all the way to level 100 just for a few competitive battles. With this new EXP share, I feel that'll become alot easier to pull off (and a lot less time wasting).

Just imagine. walk in to the elite 4 with 5 level 1 pokemon and a single level 100.

Walk out with that level 100 and a team at around level 50.

i like using it, but thats prolly because im a filthy casual

After you super train of course. Anyway, you're pokemon are more in shape w/exp. share on so why have it off. You must be either crazy or want to take a Nuzlock challenge.

wow I didnt even know that it did that, due to the fact that I turned it off as soon as I got it xD I still dont think Ill turn it on though. Im already ahead of all the trainers Im facing and really I just been running through. Plus I try to get every pokemon that I can catch in the game. even doing this gives you experience. Im scared for next gen. I have a feeling Pokemon is going to turn into the next mario on difficulty lmfao

Haven't seen you on in awhile man hope everything is going well.

I always use exp. share cause I tend to use repels in tall grass and caves(I hate fighting annoying weak pokemon.). Exp share helps me stay levelled up.

How many gyms do you have to beat before you get it?

It sounds really awesome, raising Pokemon to level 100 was very time consuming in the old games!
