I thought I saw a headline with this earlier. I didn't dive into the article though. Can someone explain what this is about?
 
I feel Meta is not as catchy as Facebook.

I feel Facebook is a more original and descriptive name which may of help it get more users in the beginning.
 
Apparently it still be Facebook but Meta is like a parent company that owns Facebook, Instagram & what’s app
 
Yeah, as Fait said, it's just the parent company so the social network keeps its name. It's too iconic for them to ever change that.

If they changed that I think they may lose traffic because everyone knows Facebook as Facebook. I think it’s a smart move to have a parent company because Instagram from Facebook sounds unprofessional to me.
 
if my services ever got big, for example, my forum I would definitely make a parent company myself, But gotta work hard to get users interested in it :P
 
They would have definitely lost a lot of old users who would be struggling to find the Facebook app on their phone :tearsofjoy:
