Hey everyone! I have a question or poll!

I wanna know if any of you have a favorite strategy or gimmick when battling?

Mine is Gravity! I have a VGC 2012 team which is centered around Gravity! I like it because it lets me abuse some attacks and pokemon that are usually too inaccurate, and it isnt easily countered.

Whats yours?

I enjoy using, but not being victim to, toxic stall. I enjoy it because it goes outside of just a battle tactic. It's a head game. You frustrate your opponent to the point they start making more mistakes and become rather predictable as they get very tired of all the poison abuse. Take out a cleric, a steel type and the occassional rival poison type on the opponents team and there's not a lot your opponent can do to counter it save for aiming for a mad rush to victory. Having to switch out to reset the toxic timer also takes a way the threat many set up sweepers will normally have. Again, wonderful little head game it is.

Hit 'em hard, hit 'em fast, avoid getting hit due to a type disadvantage, and type trump whenever you can. I'm not very status-influencing. If it doesn't do decent damage, the move doesn't get used. Simple.

Your standard strategy is considered a heavy offensive. No real tactics, just hit them hard with the best moves

If you were willing to look into a tactic called Hyper Offense (HO), you might find a tactic that fits you well

Keep healing myself with all healing/leeching spells I can find, while Leech Seed slowly damages enemies.
It's slow, but works like wonders (and works wonders with Ferrothorn too!)

You know, I did a little research on this. And it looks like a decent way to go, since two of the recommended Pokémon, Scizor and Dragonite, are either in my tem already or going to be in it as soon as I can get them there.

I like using pokemon like Shedinja to hold off my opponents for some time, unless they now I have one and jus uses a supereffective move. In those times I like using my Blissey to heal the rest of my pokemon, while the one in use is still alive. The rest is a bit random.

One word: Wondertomb.

This can only be done by cheating...
Is there a kind soul out there who is willing to explain what a Wondertomb is?

Wondertomb is when you take a spiritomb who's only weakness is a fighting attack after something like Scrappy or some other means to make normal and fighting attacks hit ghost types and you hack a game to give it the Ability wonderguard (where only super effective hits will do anything). As you can imagine, it's annoying as all heck.

I hope no one has or will use one against others! Because that seems unfair.

I don't actually have a battle strategy. I try to go for the 3 main important things.

1. Same type attack bonus
2. Type disadvantage
3. Type enhancing hold items.

It's a much better "strategy" than what it was when I was younger. It used to be "Send out a Pokemon and hope it faints from a flame thrower."

Mine is using mind games. I don't have a true strategy other than what works best based off what I think my opponent is going to do.
