"The Evil Dead" is one of my favorite horror movies and it’s most popular of all the time. It is not only extremely scary, but also gory as hell. This movie inspired me a lot.

Mine would absolutely have to be the original "Halloween". That movie just evoked such a creepy, foreboding atmosphere that still hasn't been matched in my opinion. The film used little blood and no gore and relied heavily on lighting, suspense and the creepiest musical score to date. It holds a special place in my heart and still scares the crap out of me.
