What are your favorite mario characters?
 
I'd go with Yoshi. I've always liked that green dragon for some reason. I'm not a fan of his games but he's a good fighter in Smash .-. 
 
I also like Wario. Wario games are just pure fun for me. I also like how Wario cannot be easily killed, unlike Mario who can die just by touch of an enemy like a Goomba. Wario was even invincible in early games like, Wario Land 2 and 3. He just cannot be killed and would just take on the properties of the enemies and the surroundings that he touched, like fire, zombies, etc.
 
To my my favorite is Luigi, mainly because of his appearance in Super Paper Mario as Mr. L, hope he appears again as Mr. L in the upcoming Mario y Luigi Paper Jam!
 
I've always had a huge bias for Toad. Literally, there is no other reason as to why I chose him beside the fact that he's the most adorable character (hands down)! Of course, that's subjective, and kind of my own opinion. 

But if I had to choose based on the games I've played (such as Mario Kart), I'd choose dry bones. I haven't played that game in ages, but I'd choose Dry Bones + the tank kart for every race - and I'd always win. xD It just has such good handling and amazing acceleration, you can't pass it up!
 
It may be weird, but from day freaken one I have for some reason always preferred Luigi.

Even back with the first NES game I would always ask friends to let me be player 2 even if it was my game and my house, they always thought it was weird that I was willing to not only play second but also play as Luigi.

I did this in all the Super Mario games like the old ones up until the more recent ones started letting you play as both, and yes I still pick Luigi lol.
 
Luigi and Wario. Luigi because, out of the main cast, he's the only interesting one. The rest of the main cast (Mario, Bowser, Peach, Toad and such) are extremely boring, they play a role to a T and do little of interest most of the time (exception being like... Paper Mario).
 
Wario I like in his old character. I don't like the farting he's so prone to now, though. But Wario was pretty awesome in Wario Land and Wario Land 3 holds a special place in my little, ugly heart. WarioWare Wario isn't as cool as old-school.
 
I adore Yoshi the most! I really enjoyed the Yoshi's Island games and among many others. The cute little green dinosaur has always been my go-to character in Mario Parties and Smash. Plus, the Yoshi's Island games are really cute and just have awesome variety in enemies. 
 
My favourite one is Bowser. I like its "always-mad" mood and also the character itself of course. Apart from the spikes and the shell behind him which gives me him a badass style I also admire his behavior during the anime: always against and never with Mario & Luigi!
 
I always liked Toad for some reason.  He's not much of a character in the earlier main series titles, but I'm always drawn to pick him whenever I play any of the multiplayer games (Mario Kart, Mario Party, etc.).  I mean, he does have a pretty neat mushroom hat after all.
 
My favourite Mario character of all is Yoshi. He is so cute and he is such a hero! Yoshi added a lot of excitement to Mario when the Super nintendo came out back in the 90's. 
 
I think one of my favorite characters would be Yoshi. Ever played Yoshi in Paper Mario? It was cool having him as a fighting partner and being able to name him.
 
I don't think I really have a favorite; in Mario Kart I tend to always go with Daisy, but that's because she looks the most like me and I'm selfish so I like to see myself in the games I play. :P I don't know if she's my favorite though. 

The Mario characters for me are sort of put into two categories; I either like them or I hate them. The ones I like the most are probably Daisy and Yoshi, but then again, who doesn't like Yoshi? I also like Toad and Shy Guy. I absolutely hate Mario, Bowser, Wario, and Waluigi, though. Which is probably terrible of me to hate the franchise's main characters (including the title character) but I just can't stand 'em for some reason. 
 
Favourite?  Hard to tell to be honest.  I mean, on a mainstream note, I like Wario (at least in part because of his Wario Land and WarioWare titles), but on a less mainstream note?  There are tons of one off and RPG characters I really like too.  Such as Fawful, the mad scientist guy spouting Engrish comments in the Mario & Luigi series (who can ever forget things like the 'mustard of your doom'  quote?).  Or maybe the Massif Bros in Mario & Luigi Dream Team, those guys were hilarious with their beef related puns and obsessiveness with being all 'manly'.
