Favourite fan game?

Out of all the fan games you may have played (any type counts here, whether that be flash games, fan games, game mods/hacks or level editor made levels), which is your favourite and why?

Personally, I'd say Super Mario Fusion is probably my current favourite. Better engine than Mushroom Kingdom Fusion, shorter and fairer levels than most other such fan games and generally a certain level of polish that's practically non existant in most fan works.

Others I've played and kind of enjoyed recently have been Super Mario Blue Twilight DX (which can be seen below):

And semi obscure Mario fan game Mario the Revenge of the Walrus. Which is kind of like a bizarre trip of a game, complete with some of the weirdest level gimmicks I've ever seen.

You posted three Mario fan games... I assume it doesn't have to be mario-related, right?

The only fan games I ever really played and liked were the MegaMan VS games on Newgrounds. I loved how they actually worked together despite being separate games!

You can play as MegaMan in the Metroid world or in the original Stage 1 of Ghouls N Ghosts and the boss of whichever stage you chose is the main character from their respective game. When you beat them you get their power which is usable in the other game! Beat both games to unlock my favorite character of all time; PROTO MAN!

I don't play a lot of fan games, but I'd have to say either Super Smash Land (even though I didn't like it) or Street Fighter vs. Megaman.
