The first encounter between Aerith and Marlene happens during chapter 12 of FFVII Remake, titled “Fight for Survival.” In it, both characters meet at the Seventh Heaven bar, where Marlene is hiding during a Shinra assault at the sector’s plate. However, the FFVII Remake development team recently gave more details about the exchange. Apparently, depending on each person’s sensitivity, when someone comes into contact with Aerith they may see a vision or illusion that transcends time and space.
