Used to play the heck out of FF 9 and 7 on my PS1 back in the day, never thought it be played on a tiny handheld phone device.
I played a few RPGs on my Gameboy Advance, tablet, and they were very enjoyable. If the story is good, and the gameplay is enjoyable, RPG games will be fun on mobile devices.
Final Fantasy 9 is not a fast pace game, so it should be easy to control on a touchscreen device.
fast pace no, but you do have to run through a lot of levels that require decent control.
I agree decent controls would be the running parts of the game. Hopefully, SquareEnix makes good on-screen controls, and has controller support for the mobile version of FF9.
I played a few fast paced mobile games on a touchscreen device, and the touch controls are pretty good where the games is enjoyable.
the game is now out today! A surprise release by SE.
I think it is a good idea to release FF9 now to also build hype for the PC version, and maybe get more sales of FF9 from the hype of SE recently publishing this FF9 teaser video on video sites. This teaser video got re-posted to many gaming, and tech blogs around the internet.
Well whatever version, I recommend getting FF 9
