Well, a few hours ago Wikipedia actually had a separate page for the nickname "Frankenstorm" but this appears to have been removed. Anyway, for those that don't live in the U.S. this'll tell you what's happened so far.

As I make this post it is currently a category 1 tropical cyclone. It was shortly after midnight (local time) that Sandy made it's expected move towards the U.S. coastline. It's also the largest hurricane in Atlantic history, and if I remember correctly it isn't just one single storm, it's actually several storms fused together and has cold winds that are blowing in from Canada.

This is a live coverage of the storm, Believe it or not this storm was born in the Caribbean but didn't hit my island directly (it did so with the neighbor islands). But still part of that monster traveled all the way to us and hit us with some HEAVY rain. Two days w/o electricity was the price. And that was JUST a few clouds that got separated. I hope you guys in the north east coast get prepared for what is coming to you.

This was Sandy when she was still a baby storm and that island on the far right is where I live, Puerto Rico. Now Sandy is way more bigger and powerful.

I'm in the tailend of it. So it's just raining. Of course all power comes from the Eastern coast so even if it's sunny, my internet will go out. I'm buying a new 3DS game tonight so I'm prepared.

I'm only going to get some hard rain fall fortunately, but this is a darn serious storm and hopefully there won't be too much damage farther up north from me, because unfortunately that's where the majority of my family is. Ah, well they'll most likely be fine, but ugh, wish it'd just go away and be done with.

Being in Rhode Island, it was worrysome at first, but nothing worth noting has happened yet.
