Can't believe they are making a 3DS XL...
many expected a 3DS lite.

They said they wouldn't make a remake for awhile. Since when is a year and a half "awhile"?
When did they ever say that? Also is XL considered a remake?

At E3 2011 or 2010, can't remember exactly. And redesign was the word I was looking for.
I wouldn't call the XL a redesign. More along the lines of a different model to choose from like the Vita Wifi or 3G.

That's like saying the various DS's weren't redesigns.
I have no idea how to label all the DSs with their constant updates.

They could do the same with the 3DS. Next thing you know, they will make a new design next year.

I was thinking a 3DS Lite, but that is possible.
People with bigger hands, and poor eyesight can now more comfortably game without glasses or contact lenses to correct their poor vision on the bigger devices like the iPad or Bigger DS and Wii U.
The bigger hand helds also look better for watching video on compared to smaller screens.
I wonder if someone comeup with a physical keyboard attachment for the Wii U Controller and 3DS XL to turn it into a mini laptop for basic tasks like e-mail, and web browsing.
