Keep the features that didn't suck i.e. the new saber colors, ability to make (most) items, and the more varied combat system (including the ability to make 2 preset weapon set-ups).
Things to improve:
Just re-write the damned story!
Take more time, this time!
Don't let (most) of the party members become Jedi/Sith.
