Sometimes, looking cool just isn't enough to hold one's interest.
I fell off both Bastion and Transistor pretty quick. It felt like about 90% of the dev time went into the visual style, with the actual playing part being monotonous and not particularly fun. I realize I am in the minority with this opinion though.
